Abortion After-Care Kit Packing + Guest Speaker Steph Herold

During this event will be hearing from Steph Herold, leader of Abortion Onscreen, about how abortion is portrayed in film and media. Then we will be packing abortion after-care kits, writing cards, and eating pizza! As usual, we are partnering with the National Council of Jewish Women for this packing event.

Why are we doing this? The abortion after-care kits will be going directly to people who have just gotten abortions, which is an important part of the care process. We sent these abortion after-care kits during our event last year and the recipients were incredibly appreciative! Additionally, we’re learning about abortion in film because it is necessary to learn to be critical to how abortion (and anything) is portrayed in the media.

Note to teens: you can get volunteer hours for this event!
